1.The right-click "Open With" command for individual files. For more information about this, open Help and find the topic called "Change the program that opens a type of file."

2. Open the Control panel and visit Default Programs. There are a few settings there, such as "Set your default programs" and "Associate a file type with a program."

excel delays to open a document, delays also to open a cloud file

1. Go to
- File ->
- Options ->
- Advance ->
- General (area) ->
- Uncheck the "Ignore other applications..."

2. clear the Recent of office
- close all of your office applications
- open the computer window
- at the address type %appdata% and press enter
- from this point go to Microsoft -> Office -> Recent
- delete (or backup somewhere) all the files in this directory

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\Recent

Applies to excel 2010 and 2007 (with out the cloud).

msn, messenger, emoticons are not appeared on sender's application

Problem: 
When you press :) and enter, you see the ":)" characters and not the "smile" icon.

Solution:
Go to
-> Tools (press Alt to appear the pull down menu)
-> Emoticons
-> Delete all Emoticons you see above the "Default Emoticons"

Go to
-> Tools (press Alt to appear the pull down menu)
-> Options
-> Messsages
-> Check (tick) Show emoticons
-> Check (tick) Show custom empoticons
