problem installing Joomla on XAMPP… I get the error: Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid.

solution install and use XAMPP 1.7 or 1.7.1. http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/ good luck

Solution
- Go to at windows services an set as startup type of TeamViewer5 service, Manual.
- Go to at the settings of teamviewer and set it to do not start on start up.
- Do a restart!
- Open the conrol panel of xampp and enable all services as windows service
- Do a final restart.

Apache and Teamviewer are working on the same tcp ip port, the 80. If you want to use Teamviewer together you should change the teamviewer tcp ip port to something else or load the xampp to virtual machine!
